Menu

The design of the new menu for Bar Italia arose from the need to renew the restaurant's image while preserving the spirit that has made it a historic landmark in the city. The project sought to blend elegance and tradition, updating the menu's aesthetic with a modern and functional design, while never losing sight of the deep roots of the pastry shop and café, which has been operating for generations.

A visual identity built on the color burgundy

A central element of the project was the revitalization of the restaurant's signature color: a deep, warm, and refined burgundy, which has always characterized Bar Italia's decor and visual communication. This hue was used as a common thread throughout the entire menu, from the cover to the interior sections, to create visual continuity and immediate recognition. The burgundy, reimagined with a contemporary twist, interacts with airy white spaces and elegant typography, offering a clean and sophisticated reading experience.

Cover with hot stamping logo: the touch of craftsmanship

For the menu cover, a durable, velvety-touch material was chosen, onto which the historic Bar Italia logo was heat-applied in low relief. This choice gives the menu a precious and tangible feel, highlighting the artisanal quality and long history of the establishment. The logo printed on the front becomes a distinctive sign, understated yet recognizable, immediately conveying attention to detail and respect for tradition.

Functional, elegant and clear interiors

The menu's interior has been organized to ensure simple and intuitive use. The sections—coffee, pastry, deli, and house specialties—are clearly divided and complemented by light graphics, with typographic elements inspired by classic Italian style but revisited with a minimalist touch. The goal was to make the menu not only attractive to browse, but also practical and welcoming, in keeping with Bar Italia's timeless style.

A bridge between past and present

This menu represents a bridge between past and present: it celebrates the history of Bar Italia while simultaneously projecting it into the future, offering customers a curated visual experience, consistent with the atmosphere of the venue. An object that tells a story of flavors, hospitality, and attention to detail, just like the soul of the bar that houses it.
